About Rick
Rick Gehweiler is a Marine Corps veteran and former helicopter pilot who flew combat missions in Vietnam. His memoir, Pop A Smoke, recounts his experiences flying the Sikorsky H-34 with HMM-362. After a career that included years operating the Bighorn River Lodge in Montana, Rick turned to fiction. He is the author of The Letter Y Murders and Desert Flower, the first two novels in the Travis Steele Mystery Series.
